| SWADE Distinguished Service Award This award is given to recognize the teaching, mentoring & leadership activities of a SWADE member. One member will be recognized each year through a grant from Novo-Nordisk. The $250.00 cash award is given with the request that it be used for educational purposes. | Jan Laupan Scholarship Jan Laupan was our nursing colleague devoted to SWADE and improving diabetes education. In the year 1999, we lost her to pancreatic cancer. In her memory, we have established a scholarship to be given every year. This year it went to a college student that is interested in diabetes and is working towards a nursing degree. Applications are due in April 15th of each year, with the funds awarded at the end of summer. | AADE Annual Meeting Scholarship The AADE Education and Research Foundation supports educational opportunities for the professional development of health professionals in their specialty practice. Toward this goal, the Foundation is offering $1000 scholarships to help AADE members in need of financial assistance to attend the AADE Annual Meeting in August. Open their application form, complete and mail as directed by their due date. See the AADE site for more information and application form. |
